About us

Welcome to our new public campaign to restore the Peak Line, the former mainline railway between London and Manchester than ran through the heart of the Peak District.

We know there is widespread demand for better public transport in the Peak District. An east-west link by rail between Matlock and Buxton would complement the existing Hope Valley Line to the north, and provide direct access to London.

A feasibility study will need to be carried out to assess the full social, economic and environmental benefits of restoring the line.

More information and details of how to join the campaign will be available on this website soon!
